Technology Geopolitics
Technology has become the primary arena of great power competition. I research how technology interdependencies shape geopolitics, why techno-strategic autonomy is often counterproductive, and what a more effective technology strategy for India and other middle powers looks like.
Core idea
India should spearhead an Open Technology Maitri — a principled alliance of developing countries to promote open-source software, open standards, open hardware, and interoperability as safeguards for techno-strategic autonomy.
